Congratulations to Nathaniel Hartman, Kieran Van Horsen, Lindsey Soule', Rachel Shaw, Molly Beamer, Allison Wells, Emily Shaw, Patrick Williamson, Jenny Pinard, and Lexi Heyerly for qualifying for the AGS meet held last weekend in Federal Way, Washington. The meet report is below.
CAT had many best times through Saturday prelims. Allison and Lindsey both finaled in the 100BK and placed fourth. Nathaniel was fourth in the 50FR with a new team record. He also set a new record in the 100FR on his way to another fourth place finish. He had a great looking 50FL with a third place finish and took off five sec in the 100BRto finish in sixth. In the 500FR Lindsey dropped three seconds and took first.
Saturday finals saw Lindsey swim a best time of 58.6 in the 100FR and tie for fourth, and Allison had a much more aggressive swim than in the morning and moved up to sixth. In the 200IM Lindsey lowered her team record to 2:18.18 and placed second.
Sunday was more FAST SWIMMING!! Kieran finished the meet with all best times. Nathaniel moved up to fifth in the 100IM and took second in the 100FL with a new team record. Rachel took off two seconds in the 200BK to finish the meet with two of three best times. Allison made finals in the 200BK. Molly had a strong 100FL and 200FR. Then we got to the 1650FR ... Emily had been waiting all weekend for her race. She ended up swimming a best time and moving up to fifth place! Lindsey took off 40 seconds setting a new team record and placing second in the 11-12 race. She finished her season ranked fifth in the nation for 11 year old girls in the 1650FR.
During Sunday finals, Allison moved up to 3rd in the 200 back and bettered her own team record by 3 seconds, and Lindsey placed 2nd in the 200 free.
