The Corvallis Aquatic Team is divided into training levels and squads in order to provide a structured and comprehensive program.  All squads have practice Monday through Friday and families can choose which days they attend. The cost information listed below is for year-round swimmers. You can find more information on costs by clicking on "New Family Info" at the top of this page.
 
Novice - 10&U + Junior 1A - 11-14
The Novice and Junior 1A squads are for new swimmers.  At this level, the athletes are introduced to the sport of competitive swimming.  The primary objective of these groups is to teach the swimmer the four basic competitive strokes: butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke and freestyle.  Swimmers also learn and practice starts, turns, drills, and games to develop additional skills needed for competition. Training Schedule:  Novice swimmers may attend up to three 1-hour practices per week. Junior 1A swimmers may attend up to four 1.25-hour practices per week.
Dues:  Monthly dues are $65 mid-September through mid-August for Novice, and $75 mid-September through mid-August for Junior 1A.
Meet Participation:  Participation in dual meets and invitational meets is optional.
 
Junior 1B - 11&U
The Junior 1B swimmer can perform the four competitive swim strokes and is ready to learn more sophisticated techniques.  At this level, advanced drills are implemented, starts and turns are emphasized, and interval training is introduced.  
Training Schedule:  Junior 1B swimmers may attend up to four 1.25-hour practices per week.
Dues:  Monthly dues are $75 mid-September through mid-August.
Meet Participation:  Participation in dual meets and invitational meets is encouraged.
 
Junior 2 - 9-14
The Junior 2 program is designed for young athletes ages 9-14 who have decided they are ready for a commitment to the sport of swimming.  Competitive training, in its true sense, begins at this level; stroke techniques are refined continuously.
Training Schedule:  Junior II swimmers may attend up to five 1.5-hour practices per week.
Dues:  Monthly dues are $100 mid-September through mid-August.
Meet Participation:  Participation in dual meets, invitationals and championship meets is expected.
 
Senior Prep - 11-14
The senior prep program moves swimmers toward more rigorous training - conditioning in anticipation of senior/high school swim team participation. It is designed for athletes who are between 11 and 14 years of age and who meet specified time requirements.
Training Schedule:  Senior prep swimmers may attend up to six 2-hour practices per week.
Dues:  Monthly dues are $130 mid-September through mid-August.
Meet Participation:  Participation in dual meets, invitationals and championship meets is expected.
 
Senior I
The Senior I squad is designed for high school students who wish to train during the high school swimming off-season from March through mid-November. The Senior I training program strongly emphasizes conditioning as well as technique, and it provides the individual with opportunities to progress rapidly.  Senior level swimmers who are involved in other high school sports or are new to year round swimming may choose to train with this group. Attendance at daily training sessions is encouraged.
Training Schedule:  Senior I swimmers may attend up to five 2-hour practices per week.
Dues:  Monthly dues are $130 mid-September through mid-November and March through mid-August.  
Meet Participation:  Participation in dual meets, invitationals and championship meets (if qualified) is optional.
 
Senior II
The Senior II squad experience the highest caliber of training and competition offered by the Corvallis Aquatic Team.  At this level, daily workouts are highly individualized.  Each athlete encounters daily opportunities to develop skills and endurance necessary to compete at state, regional, and national levels.  
Training Schedule:  Senior II swimmers may train up to nine times per week.  
Dues:  Monthly dues are $175 September 1st through mid-August.
Meet Participation:  Participation in dual meets, invitationals and championship meets (if qualified) is expected.
