Coaches and Directors
Rick came to the Corvallis
Aquatic Team in September of 1990 with a master’s degree in
exercise physiology from the University of Northern Colorado and a
bachelor’s degree in psychology from Willamette University.
He swam competitively for 10 years and has been coaching swimmers
since 1987.
Rick began coaching for the Hickam Hurricanes in Honolulu, Hawaii.
After a year in Hawaii, he moved to the University of Northern
Colorado to work on his master’s and gain collegiate coaching
experience with their women’s varsity swim team. Upon
completing his degree in December 1989, he moved to the Las Vegas
Gold Swim Team in Nevada. There he served as assistant coach in
charge of the developmental team and team recruiting. Rick has been
a licensed massage technician since April 1994. In his life beyond
swimming, Rick enjoys family adventures with his wife and two boys
along with surfing, skiing, and paddle boarding.
Coaching Achievements: 4-time National Junior Team Coach; 2-time National Team Coach; 2011 USA Swimming World Junior Championships (Peru) Coach; 1995 Oregon Swimming Age Group Coach of the Year; 1996, 1997, 2005, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014 Oregon Swimming Senior Coach of the Year.
Brandon started on the Corvallis Aquatic team as a swimmer in the summer of 2002. He swam with CAT through high school and represented them at the 2016 Olympic Trials where he competed in the 200 Backstroke and 1500 Freestyle. Brandon swam at the University of Utah for 4 years where he earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Kinesiology.
During his time in Utah, Brandon coached the developmental groups at the South Davis Aquatic Team and was the head swim coach for East High School. Outside of the pool Brandon enjoys reading good books, game nights, and spending time with his wife, family, and friends.
Cameron is originally from Tigard, Oregon, but moved to Corvallis to pursue a Bachelors degree in Kinesiology at Oregon State. Cameron taught lessons for THPRD in Beaverton starting in 2018. He also swam for Southridge High School in Beaverton and played water polo for Tualatin Hills water polo club starting in 2015. He continued competing through 2022 for OSU's club team. Cameron is also a member of the Osborn staff where he is a head lifeguard and a swim instructor.
