USA Swimming announced the names of the 48 athletes selected for the 12th Annual National Diversity Select Camp. The camp will be held May 3-6 at the U.S. Olympics Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo. Oregon Swimming had 3 athletes selected to attend; Marco Nosack (THSC), Francesca Criscione (CAT), and Ellie Jew (LOSC). The full list of camp participants may be found here. Forty-two different clubs from 22 states will be represented.

Congratulations to Gabrielle Smit and Francesca Criscione for their participation in the 2018 Black History Invitational Swim Meet, which was held February 16-18 in Washington DC. Gabrielle and Francesca competed in the meet as part of the Western Zone All-Star Team, an 18-member team made up of 14-16 year olds from all over the western part of the U.S. They were selected to the team based on their past swimming performances and their representation of diversity in USA Swimming. TYR Pro Series - Austin CAT has 4 swimmers competing in Austin, TX at the TYR Pro Series meet Jan. 11-14. Lindsey Soule', Francesca Criscione, Casey McEuen, and Noah Vial will be swimming against some of the toughest competion they have seen. Many Olympians, including former CAT swimmer Jacob Pebley, will be there. This is a unique event where the top 3 finishers will receive not only fame and glory, but cold hard cash. 2018 Club Excellence Awards In its 17th year, the Club Excellence program identifies clubs that execute strong, well-rounded programs to produce elite 18-and-under athletes. The top 20 clubs earn Gold level ranking and those rated 21-100 are designated as Silver honorees. The next 100 clubs are recognized at the Bronze level. Each team's ranking score is based on the FINA Points Table, a power point rating system that assigns point values to swimming performances based on the Gold, Silver or Bronze time standard. Western Zone Age Group Championships August 9-12, 2017 Roseville, California Congratulations to CAT's Francesca Criscione, Anna Edwards, Matthew Edwards, and Gabrielle Smit, who were all selected to the Oregon Swimming Age Group Zone team for 2017. They will travel with the 48-member OSI team to Roseville to compete against other LSC teams in the Western Zone.

USA Swimming Junior National Championships August 8-12, 2017 East Meadow, New York Good luck to Casey McEuen, Lindsey Soule', and Noah Vial, who are representing CAT at the 2017 Junior National Championships this week in New York. Lindsey will compete Tuesday in the 800 free, Wednesday in the 200 back, and Friday in the 100 back; Noah will swim Tuesday in the 1500 free, Thursday in the 400 free, and Friday in the 200 free; and Casey will compete Saturday in the 50 free.
